collection

from classic to fashion

The collaboration with a team of international designers, stimulated by a continuous research that aims to combine fashion with the technical, gives rise, twice a year, to a collection divided into three categories: Dream, Concept and Touch. The goal is to offer the customer always new proposals so giving the opportunity to develop special items throughout the season.

Dream - Olmetex

The collection is characterized by the use of a vast array of fibers such as cotton, nylon, polyester, wool, silk, viscose and linen that give rise to yarn-dyed or piece-dyed fabrics, developed both from heddle looms and jacquard machines. Our internal weaving plant allows the rapid development of customized creations together with the customer.

Olmetex stands out in the market for its experience and ability to create and ennoble fabrics through technical finishes and details such as: coated, resinated, laminated, printed, coupled, water-repellent, breathable, downproof, membraned and more.

Bi-stretch
A fabric that stretches in the warp and the weft, and which regains its initial dimensions after stretching. This property is obtained through the use of elastane, textured yarns or yarns of an elastic nature.
Breathing
Property of a fabric that consists of wicking humidity from the body to the exterior thanks to fibers properties and/or properties inherent in its structure. A dry micro-climate can thus be maintained between skin and clothing.
Climatic
Property of a fabric that controls the temperature of the fiber in order to protect the body from exterior climatic conditions.
Coating
Finishing applied on the surface of the fabric, on the front or on the back side, that characterized the look and the hand feel of the fabric.
Double-face
Fabric presenting two different sides which can be both used as front.
Downproof
A fabric which resists the penetration of down. The fabric could be tight woven or coated.
Easy-care
Property of a fabric of being comfort and suitable for daily use.
High-resistance
Property of a fabric to resist tearing and/or abrasion, through the use of high tenacity fibers.
Garment washable
A fabric studied to be suitable for garment wash finishing.
Membrane
It’s a layer applied on the fabric that gives performance characteristic to the final product.
Mono-stretch
A fabric that stretches in the warp or the weft, and which regains its initial dimensions after stretching. This property is obtained through the use of elastane, textured yarns or yarns of an elastic nature.
Multi-layer
A fabric made by two or more layers bonded together characterized by high performance.
Naturally stretch
A fabric that stretches in the warp and/or the weft, which regains its initial dimensions after stretching. Property obtained without the use of elastane, by a mechanical retraction of the yarn, or by chemically treating the fabric.
Natural finish
Property of the fabric of being technical without any additional finishing after the weaving process.
No season
A fabric suitable all the yearlong thanks to its composition, structure and technical characteristics.
Organic cotton
A fabric with a majority of certified-organic natural fibers.
Pfc free
Production without using per- and polyfluorinated chemicals, considered dangerous for the environment and for the human being.
Printed
Fancy patterns and artworks applied on the surface of the fabric through different printing techniques.
Recycled
A fabric with a majority of recycled fibers, either natural or synthetic (principally cotton, wool, linen, polyester, polyamide or silk).
Reflective
Property of a fabric which guarantee the maximum visibility in conditions of poor luminosity thanks to the finishing or the technical characteristics of the yarn.
Sanforized
Finishing process mainly used on cotton fabrics to lend and reduce the shrinkage after washing.
Techno finish
Specific finishing to improve its technical characteristics.
Thermal
Property of a fabric that regulates the temperature of the body in order to maintain a dry and warm micro-climate between the skin and the garment.
Wash
Finishing process that makes the look of the fabric washed and not flat.
Water-repellent
Finishing process which enables a fabric to resist penetration by water.
Water-proof
Property of a fabric to be high resistant to water penetration (water column over 5,000 mm).
Wind-proof
Property of a fabric of being resistant to strong wind condition thanks to a special finishing technology.
